Rich cranberry & fig serum - scented

In the morning, cleanse and tone the skin. When the skin is still damp, apply a moisturizer to the face such as Cranberry & Fig Day Cream. Use the squeeze-and-roll technique.

 Then, apply the Rich cranberry & prickly pear serum to the neck and décolleté. In winter, for additional protection, add a small amount of Soothing Chamomile Oil Serum.

The cranberry or atocas , Vaccinium macrocarpon, is a small fruit of the Ericaceae family native to North America. This evergreen shrub grows in humid environments. Its pink flowers appear in early summer and produce edible red fruits in the fall.

Average composition: Linoleic acid (30-40%), oleic acid (15-25%), linolenic acid (25-30%)

Properties: Anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, soothing, emollient, moisturizing, lubricating, photo-protective, protective, regenerating, restorative.

Indications: Facial care for mature, dry and sun damaged skin.

The prickly pear is a cactus that grows in abundance around the Mediterranean. It produces a precious and rare oil, which should not be confused with the oily macerate of prickly pear, less expensive, but also less active. The oil, extracted by cold pressing from the seeds of the prickly pear, is only found in very small quantities in the seed (5%), hence its high price for a vegetable oil.

Composition: Linoleic acid (omega-6 polyunsaturated) 50%-60%, tocopherols and tocotrienols (Vitamin E) ~1000 mg/kg (powerful antioxidants), sterols (~10 g/kg): beta-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol.

Properties: Prickly pear oil has astonishing regenerating and moisturizing properties for the skin. The high percentage of vitamin E and sterols gives it its antioxidant properties. Its essential fatty acids have skin softening and repairing effects. Prickly pear oil is effective in combating skin aging and reducing scars.

Oats ( Avena sativa ) have been used in cosmetics for several centuries. It contains beta glucan (soluble fiber) and avenanthramides which act as natural moisturizers and antioxidants. They penetrate deeply and reduce the itching caused by dry skin.

Used in the form of colloidal extract, oats strengthen the skin's barrier function and improve hydration of the dermis. It thus relieves dry, thinned, weakened and reactive skin.

We make our extracts from gluten-free organic oats produced locally by La Minoterie des Anciens in Matane.

This oil is creamy and very emollient. It is rich in antioxidants and tocopherols.

Rich in polysaccharides (moisturizing sugars), polyphenols (natural antioxidants) and remineralizing trace elements (iodine, iron, magnesium, calcium), algae are known and widely used in cosmetics. They also contain beta-carotenes (natural antioxidants) with complexion lightening effects. Alginates are also present in brown algae (especially Kombu). They have anti-inflammatory properties (at the joints) and give a silky finish to the skin.

 Our active ingredient is made from seaweed harvested by hand in an eco-responsible manner in Gaspésie, Bas-St-Laurent and the Maritimes by Un Océan de Saveurs .

 The algae active we use may include: Ulva sp. (sea lettuce) , Saccharina latissima (royal kombu) ,   Palmaria palmata (dulse).
