The regenerative substances found in comfrey, such as allantoin, tannins and rosmarinic acid, altogether accelerate natural renewal of cells and stimulate the growth of new tissues.
Allantoin is a very popular substance in both the cosmetics and medical worlds. It is used in many creams to treat a variety of skin disorders as well as cuts and burns.
Allantoin also has a keratinolytic action, which is to say it helps to soften keratin, a tough, inflexible protein of the skin's outer layer. Allantoin helps the skin to retain water better, thus making it softer and more hydrated. By stimulating the exfoliation of the superficial cell layer, keratinolytics also helps in smoothening the skin.
The comfrey extracts we use originate from the roots we harvest in our organic gardens here in Gaspesie, following a biodynamic inspiration.
Toutes les parties du fruit de la rose sont thérapeutiques. L'huile de baies se démarque par sa richesse en vitamine C. Quant à elle, l'huile des graines extraite au CO2 est riche en acides gras essentiels et en vitamine A. De couleur orangée, cette huile au taux élevé en acide trans rétinoïque n'a ni les effets irritants ni photosensibilisants du rétinol de synthèse.
Cette huile favorise la production de collagène. Elle diminue l'apparence des rides, des ridules, de la pigmentation, des cicatrices et des vergetures. Elle peut contribuer à prévenir ou à soigner les rougeurs, les troubles de couperose ou de rosacée.
